How to Add Followers to Contacts

By enabling users to follow and manage contacts, collaboration becomes more seamless, with enhanced access to vital information and streamlined task management. This ensures team members can efficiently delegate responsibilities and optimize workflows, improving overall productivity.

To leverage this feature for your team's benefit, follow these simple steps:

Enable "Only Assigned Data" Setting

Navigate to the settings section within your account and access the "My Staff" tab from the left sidebar. From there, go to "Team," where you can add a new employee by clicking on the "+ Add Employee" button or edit an existing one by selecting the edit button.

In user permissions, turn on the toggle for “Only Assigned Data” to enable the feature. It should be highlighted as displayed below.

In certain cases, it is necessary to first navigate to the Roles & Permissions section and update the user's role to "User" before adjusting the Data Visibility Scope.

Adding Followers to a Contact

Return to the main menu, then access the "Contacts" tab from the left sidebar and navigate to "Smart Lists." Once there, click on the desired contact to open its details.

Locate the "Followers" option on the upper panel and click the plus sign to add followers.

A multi-select dropdown will display the available users in your account, allowing you to choose up to 10 users to follow and access the same record.

📌 Important Note: While followers have owner-level permissions to manage and edit contacts collaboratively, they cannot edit or change the owner's contact information, ensuring data integrity and security.

Limitations 

It's important to note that follower contacts are only visible when the "Only Assigned Data" setting is turned on. If you encounter any issues where followers cannot see the contact they're supposed to follow, ensure this setting is correctly enabled.
