How to Create a Fixed Countdown Timer

Making limited offers promotes desire and increases sales. Visual queues are highly effective at communicating information and captivating audiences. Mix them and you get a powerful tool to promote sales and increase conversions! Fixed Timers are the perfect tool to promote a feeling of exclusivity and need in customers and push them to complete their purchases as fast as possible.

Creating a Fixed Timer

Navigate to the Countdown Timers tab inside the marketing section and click the + New button.

Select a Design Template of your liking then click Continue with this template.

General

Select the Fixed Timer Type.

Define the countdown duration and time zone.

Add the Active Link where the users will be redirected while the timer is active and the Expired Link for once the timer runs out.

Styling

Select the Styling section to adjust the timer's appearance.

This includes: 

  1.  Adjusting the template used for the timer.
  2. Choosing which timer labels (seconds, minutes, hours, days) to display.
  3. Editing the font styles used in the timer.

4. Adjusting the corner radius of the timer.

5. Editing the colors used in the timer.

6. Replacing the timer with a chosen image in your emails when it expires.

7. Adjusting Margin and Padding settings for the timer as well as introducing the option to hide the timer in Apple Mail (coming soon). 

📌Note: You can disable the Padding option if you prefer not to customize the margin and padding.

Give your timer a name for identification then click “Save” to finalize and activate the countdown timer.

And there you have it, now you can add this element to your Emails, Websites, and Funnels or click the Copy Code button to copy the custom code of your timer and add it to external sites! This is the perfect tool to promote limited-time events such as flash promotions and event registrations, or build anticipation for upcoming events or launches. We hope you enjoy it!
