The Dialer
The dialer button is accessible from all tabs within your platform and is conveniently located in the top-right corner. To get started with the dialer, ensure that a phone number is properly configured in your account. For assistance on how to do this, refer to the resources available in the Phone System section. After you have properly configured your phone number, click the dialer.
This opens a user-friendly interface with standard dialer features.
Keypad
This is where you enter the number you want to dial. You can use your keyboard's numeric keys to enter it manually or click the buttons of the number pad to enter a phone number with your mouse.
Select which phone number you'd like to make the call from. If you have multiple numbers set up in your platform, they'll appear in the dropdown list.
When you are ready to dial a number, click the green phone button.
At the bottom of the dialer, you also have icons for Recents, Contacts, Voicemail, and Queued views.
Recents
Let's switch to the Recents view.
As you can see, the keypad has been replaced by a search box and a list of your most recently contacted numbers. You can use the search box to find a particular contact by their name or phone number.
Click the arrow next to each call to view the call date, access the contact's profile, review associated notes and tags, send a message, or redial the number.
Next, let us explore the Contacts section.
Contacts
Click the Contacts button at the bottom of the dialer to open the Contacts view. This view displays all the contacts you have added to your account.
Like the Recents tab, you can use the search box to find a particular contact by their name or phone number.
Click the phone icon to initiate a call to the desired contact.
Voicemail and Queued
For contacts who are unavailable to answer the call and have a voicemail inbox, users can leave a voicemail message. These messages will be displayed in the Voicemail view! Stay tuned for more details on these features as soon as they are released!
Your dialer is an excellent way to reach your contacts within your platform and creates a unified communications record along with email, SMS, and other communication methods.
