How to Perform a Warm Call Transfer

A warm call transfer is a feature that enables you to transfer a call to another party while maintaining the ability to communicate with the client until the transfer is complete. This ensures a seamless transition and improves the client's experience by offering personalized assistance throughout the process.

Before you can perform a warm call transfer, you must first set up your phone system. Here's how to get started:

Navigate to the settings section of your account, then Locate the "Phone Numbers" section. From there, ensure that the system is configured and that you have added a number.

Performing a Warm Call Transfer

Once your phone system is configured, you're ready to perform a warm call transfer. Follow these steps:

Click the call icon to access the dialer, which is available from any view within your account.

Input the phone number in the Keypad section, or locate a contact from the “Contacts” or “Recents” section, and then proceed to initiate the call.

Select Warm Transfer

Within the dialer, you will find the option for a warm transfer. Click on it to proceed.

Transfer the Call

When you click Warm Transfer, find your colleague's number by using the search function. Once it's been located, click the Hold & Call button to dial your colleague's number.

You can also switch to the keypad to enter the number you wish to dial. Don't forget to add the area code!

When the call is connected, you can explain the situation to your colleague before transferring the call with the Merge button. This prevents the Blind Transfer problem of the call being terminated and also prepares your colleague to deal with the issue.

Now the client and your colleague can continue the conversation privately, and you can click the red button to leave the call.

  • Call Recording: You have the option to record calls, which can be useful for training purposes or to review conversations at a later time.
  • Call Tracking: Keep track of who you've called and who you haven't with the call tracking feature. This can help you manage your leads more effectively.
