How to Create and Use a Coupon/Promo Code in a Two-Step Order Form

Coupons and promo codes serve as incentives that can motivate potential customers to make a purchase. They can be particularly effective in e-commerce funnels, where the goal is to convert visitors into paying customers. This guide is divided into two main parts: setting up coupons and setting up promo codes.

Part 1: Setting Up Coupons

Overview

Coupons in the CRM allow you to offer fixed or percentage discounts on products. Please note that the coupon feature is designed for one-time products and does not support subscription-based products.

Step-by-Step Guide

Create a Coupon Code:

  • Navigate to the Payments Page and select "Coupon."

Add to the Checkout:

  • Note that a 100% off coupon requires customers to enter card details for verification, especially if upsells are involved. This feature is compatible with Stripe but not with PayPal.

Part 2: Setting Up Promo Codes

Overview

Promo codes work by revealing a hidden discounted product in the order form when the code is entered, simultaneously hiding the full-price product. This setup is ideal for offering special prices to a select audience.

Step-by-Step Guide

Prepare Your Products:

  • Ensure you have the products added to your funnel.
