Manually Adding Sales to an Affiliate

The CRM offers the capability to manually add sales to an affiliate. This feature is particularly useful in two scenarios:

  1. Online Sales Without Affiliate Attribution: When a sale is made online but the affiliate link is not used, and you wish to attribute this sale to a specific affiliate.
  2. Offline Sales: When a sale is made offline, and you need to record and attribute it to an affiliate for accurate commission tracking and record-keeping.

Step-by-Step Guide to Adding Manual Sales

For Online Sales Without Affiliate Attribution
  • Identify the Sale: Locate the sale that was made online but not attributed to an affiliate.
  • Select the Affiliate: Navigate to the Affiliate Manager, find the affiliate to whom you want to attribute the sale, and click on their name.

  • Affiliate Profile: The view that will open contains all the information relevant to that affiliate, in here scroll down until you see Commissions.
  • Add Manual Commissions: To your right, you'll find an Add Sales Manually button which will give you the option to add the commission.

  • Filling out the information: A pop-up will open for you to select the customer based on their email, once you select it the pop-up will now display the affiliate and customer name. There will be a few more fields for you to fill out so you can set which campaign the sale belongs to, the revenue from the sale, and the date it happened. Once ready click Submit to save it.

📌 Note: Whenever a commission was added manually the product will show as “Manual Commission”

For Offline sales

  • Record the Sale: Go to the payment section to create a manual invoice for the offline sale. This is essential for bookkeeping purposes.
  • Create an Invoice: Enter the details of the sale, including the client's name, item description, amount, and mode of payment (e.g., cash for offline transactions).

  • Save and Record Payment: After saving the invoice, record the payment manually to ensure it reflects in your transaction table.
  • Attribute to Affiliate: Return to the Affiliate Manager and follow the same steps as for online sales to attribute this offline sale to the desired affiliate.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

  • What if the sale doesn't show up under the affiliate's record? Ensure you've correctly entered the customer's email and selected the right transaction. If the issue persists, wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
  • Can I attribute one sale to multiple affiliates? No, each sale can only be attributed to one affiliate. Choose the affiliate who primarily facilitated the sale.
