Hide Email Elements on Mobile View

Hiding email elements for mobile and desktop view is crucial in optimizing your emails for mobile devices. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

Start by creating a new email template or opening an existing email campaign that you want to optimize for mobile and desktop views.

Once you access the Email Editor locate the element within your email template or campaign that you want to hide on either mobile or desktop view. This could be any element, for this example, we'll use an image.

After locating the desired element you have two ways to approach this. Let's go over them.

Hover Approach

Hover your mouse pointer over the element you wish to hide. When you hover, you should see an action menu or options appear.

Within the action menu, you will typically find options to hide the element specifically on mobile or desktop. Select the appropriate option based on your optimization needs. For example, click the phone icon to hide the element on mobile devices.

Settings Approach

If you don't like the hover method, you can change the visibility from the element settings. To access this option click the element to open the menu on the left side.

Switch over to the Visibility tab and select Desktop only to hide the element for Mobile Devices.

Previewing The Changes

It's essential to preview and test your email to ensure it appears as expected on both mobile and desktop devices. You can check the progress by using the top bar to switch the view you're editing.

If you'd like a more detailed view of the changes, save the email and click the three-dot icon to access the preview function within the email builder, that way you can preview how it will look on different devices outside the builder.

Additionally, send a test email to yourself or a colleague to check the rendering on various email clients and devices.

Once satisfied with the Elements visibility, save your changes within the email editor. This will update your email template or campaign with the hidden element settings.
