What is LC - Phone?
LC - Phone is a feature that simplifies communication within your CRM. It eliminates the need for integrating third-party telephony providers like Twilio for sending and receiving SMS and making calls.
Why Migrate to LC - Phone?
LC - Phone offers a hassle-free way to handle SMS and call functions directly within your CRM. Here's how to migrate:
Step 1: Agency Migration
1. Go to the agency view and click on "Settings" in the bottom left.
2. Navigate to "Phone Integration" (also known as "Phone System - Twilio").
3. Make sure you're on the agency settings tab. Click the green button that says "Switch to LC Phone System."
You might need to perform a 3D secure verification through a test payment, depending on your card and bank. Read the provided information, acknowledge it by selecting the "I accept" checkbox, re-register for A2P, and pay the $4.95 charge if applicable. Finally, click "Confirm."
Your agency is now migrated, and new accounts will automatically use LC Phone. However, existing sub-accounts still need to be moved over.
Step 2: Migrate Existing Sub-Accounts
Before migrating sub-accounts, consider the following:
- Migrating all sub-accounts can be done once.
- Migrating all sub-accounts only applies to those in the US/Canada.
- Each sub-account can be migrated separately, with a "Switch to LeadConnector" button available.
- For non-US/Canada sub-accounts, create a Regulatory Bundle and request number migration.
A. Bulk Migration for US/Canada Accounts
1. In the phone integration page, click on "Subaccount Settings."
2. Click on "Switch all sub-accounts to LC." Read the information, acknowledge it by selecting the "I accept" checkbox, and hit "Confirm." All accounts will be moved to processing. You don't need to do anything during this phase; your old sub-accounts will continue to work normally.
B. Migrate a Single US/Canada Sub-Account
- Click on "Switch to LC" for the chosen sub-account.
- Read the information, acknowledge it, and hit "Confirm."
- The account will be moved to processing, which takes 2-3 business days.
C. Migrate a Single Non-US/Canada Sub-Account
- Click on "Switch to LC" for the chosen sub-account.
- Read the information, acknowledge it, and hit "Confirm."
- Create a Regulatory Bundle from the location settings.
- Fill in the details, submit it, and reply to the ticket to move the numbers.
- The process takes around 4-5 business days, depending on the regulatory bundle submitted.
Important Notes
- If you switch to LC Phone, you can decide whether to migrate all sub-accounts or just the ones you want.
- For international numbers, set up bundles in the sub-account phone numbers tab.
- Specific sub-accounts can integrate their own telephony system at any time.
- If your Twilio account is suspended, resolve it with Twilio support before migrating.
- When clients switch from Twilio to LC, call recordings are archived in Twilio and can be manually downloaded if needed.
