Your calendar only offers the times you say you're available. Get these settings right, and nobody books you at 7 AM on a Sunday.
Set your weekly hours
- Go to Calendars, then Calendar Settings.
- Open your calendar and go to the Availability tab.
- Pick your name (or the team member) and set the hours for each day.
- Need a lunch break? Add two blocks, like 9 to 12 and 1 to 5.
- Save.
Block off a holiday or change one day
Use Date-Specific Hours for one-off changes, like a holiday, a vacation, or a late night.
- In the same Availability area, click Add Date-Specific Hours.
- Pick the date or dates.
- Set the hours, or mark yourself unavailable.
- Save.
Date-specific hours replace your weekly hours for that day. To stay open later, enter the full day you want, like 9 to 8, not just the extra hours.
Other settings worth a look
- Minimum scheduling notice. Stops last-minute bookings. Set it to 24 hours, and nobody can book you for tomorrow morning tonight.
- Date range. How far out people can book, like 4 weeks.
Stop double bookings
If you also keep a Google or Outlook calendar, connect it so those events block your booking times. See Stop Double Bookings and Let Customers Reschedule.
