Reviews, Google and Cards

Show Your Google Reviews on Your Website With the Review Widget

Put your Google reviews on your website with the Amplify review widget. Pick a style, set it up, copy the code, and it updates on its own.

The review widget pulls your Google reviews onto your website and keeps them current. When a new review comes in, it shows up on your site without you touching anything. It's included with your Amplify membership, so there's nothing extra to buy.

It works on a website built with Amplify, and it also works on WordPress, Wix, GoDaddy and most other site builders. You build it once in Amplify, then paste one piece of code onto your site.

Before you start

Your Google Business Profile has to be connected to your Amplify account first. The widget has nothing to show until it is. If you haven't done that yet, start with Connecting Your Google Business Profile.

Build your widget

  1. Log in at app.earnworthy.com.
  2. Click Reputation in the left menu, then Widgets.
  3. You'll usually see a default widget already there. Click it, then click Edit Widget. If there isn't one, click + Create Widget.

You can also start from a template, which gives you a finished layout and colors in a few clicks. Pick one and keep editing from there.

Pick a style

The Layout tab is where you choose how your reviews look. You get seven styles:

  • List. Reviews stacked in one column.
  • Grid. Reviews in even rows and columns.
  • Masonry. Like Grid, but cards can be different heights.
  • Carousel. Reviews slide across one after another. It's one of my favorites.
  • Slider. Another rotating style.
  • Flash. A small pop-up that sits in the bottom corner of your site.
  • Legacy. The original style.

Carousel and Grid are the two most popular. Try a few and watch the preview change before you decide.

On the same tab you can set which reviews show up:

  • Review source. Google is usually all you need. If your reviews also come in somewhere else, like Facebook, you can add that source too, as long as it's already connected to your Amplify account.
  • Max number of reviews. How many to show at once.
  • Minimum ratings. Want only 4 stars and up on your site? Set it here.

Change the words, colors and extras

The other tabs handle the finishing touches.

  • Content. The heading and description above your reviews, whether to show your star average and total review count, and the Write a Review button. Carousel and Slider also have a slider interval, which is how many seconds each review stays up before the next one.
  • Appearance. Choose a Light or Dark theme, or go Custom and change any color so the widget matches your site. You can change the font here too.
  • Settings. Show or hide the date, the reviewer's picture or initials, and the AI summary. You can also leave out reviews that have a star rating but no written comment, so you don't get empty cards.

The AI summary is a short write-up of what your reviews say overall. Some owners love it. Others turn it off. It's your call.

Get reviews, too

Keep the Write a Review button on if you can. It's a one-click button that sends a customer straight to Google to leave a review, so the widget helps you collect new ones as well as show off the old ones.

Save it and put it on your site

  1. Click Save when you're happy with it.
  2. Open the Settings tab and click Copy Code.
  3. Paste the code into a custom HTML or code block on your website, then publish the page.

If you're using an AI Studio site, WordPress, Wix, GoDaddy or any other builder, the code is the way to go. Paste it in and you're done.

The only time you can skip the code is if you're building inside Amplify's traditional website or funnel builder. There, you can drag the Reviews element onto the page, save, and publish. That element always shows your default widget.

Mobile is covered. The widget adjusts to phones and tablets on its own.

Come back and change the widget any time. Once the code is on your site, your edits go live as soon as you save. You don't need to paste anything again.

FAQ

Do I have to be on Amplify's website builder to use it?

No. Most people copy the code and paste it into a custom code block. That works on an AI Studio site, WordPress, Wix, GoDaddy and almost any other site.

Will new reviews show up on their own?

Yes. The widget pulls from your connected sources and follows the filters you set, like minimum stars and max reviews.

Can I put two different widgets on one site?

Yes. Use Copy Code for each one and add each to its own code block. The Reviews element only shows your default widget, so code blocks are how you use more than one. Make sure you've picked the right widget before you copy its code.

My widget is blank. What do I check?

First, make sure your Google Business Profile is connected. Then check that your filters aren't too tight. A high minimum rating or a low max number can leave very little to show. If it still looks wrong, check that the code was pasted in full.

Where can I see the widget on a real site?

Our own site, earnworthy.com, uses it. That's the same widget you'd build here.

I'm stuck. Who do I ask?
