Reviews, Google and Cards

Getting Review Alerts From Somewhere Other Than Google?

A review alert you don't recognize usually comes from another tool you use, like your job software. Here's how to tell.

Sometimes a "new review" email shows up that doesn't look like Google. It might say a customer reviewed you "on your website." Before you worry, look at who sent it.

Check the sender

Most review alerts come from one of three places:

  • Google, about your Business Profile
  • Amplify, when a review lands in your Reputation area
  • Another tool you use, like job or invoicing software that asks customers for feedback after a job

If the email comes from your job software, the review lives there. It isn't on your website and it isn't on Google.

Why it matters

Reviews in other tools don't show up on Google. If you want those happy customers on Google, where new customers are looking, send them a Google review request too. See Sending Your First Review Request.

Watch for doubled-up requests

If your job software and Review Booster both ask every customer for a review, people get asked twice. Tell us what your other software sends, and we'll help you decide which one does the asking.

FAQ

Can you see reviews inside my other software?

Not without logging in to it. Forward the alert to support@earnworthy.com and we'll tell you where it came from.

Can those reviews post to Google?

No. Google reviews have to be left on Google by the customer.

Can my other software trigger Review Booster instead?

Sometimes. See Connecting Your Other Tools.
