Answer Agent can pick up your phone when you can't. Here's what it does on a call, and how to make sure it sounds right.
What it does for real customers
- Answers common questions about your business
- Books appointments
- Points people to the right page or tool on your site
- Takes a callback request when someone asks for you
What it says comes from its knowledge base. To stop it saying something, like quoting prices, see Controlling What Your AI Says.
It screens out spam and sales calls
Your voice AI can turn away SEO reps, ad sellers, and vendors who won't say why they're calling. They get a polite no, and the call ends. Real customers get through like normal.
This screening only works on newer voice agents. If yours was set up a while ago, we may need to rebuild it as a new agent to turn it on. Email support@earnworthy.com and we'll check.
Test it yourself
Call your number twice.
- Once as a customer with a normal question.
- Once pretending to be a salesperson.
Tell us if anything sounds off, or if a real customer would have trouble getting through.
Updating it when things change
Going on vacation, changing hours, or adding a service? Email us and we'll update what it says. We can add or remove an out-of-office message too.
FAQ
Do I have to let AI answer my phone?
No. You decide which calls it handles, and what's possible depends on your phone setup. With a number ported into Amplify, almost anything works: after hours only, after a set number of rings, or every call. With a forwarded number, it depends on what your carrier's forwarding allows. Some carriers are all or nothing.
Does it cost extra?
AI conversations draw from your $20 monthly usage credit.
