Ask AI Usage, Cost, and Troubleshooting

Ask AI is on for every Amplify client. How your $20 usage credit covers it, what it can't do yet, its memory, and quick fixes.

Every Amplify client has Ask AI, and there's no separate plan to buy. This article covers how usage is paid for, what Ask AI can't do yet, how its memory works, and what to try when something goes sideways.

Who can use Ask AI

Every Amplify client has Ask AI. Log in at app.earnworthy.com and click the Ask AI icon in the top bar, or Ask AI in the left menu.

Don't see it in your account? Email support@earnworthy.com and we'll turn it on for you.

Adding someone to your team? They need their own login first. See Setting Up Your Profile and Users.

On your phone

You may also see Ask AI in the LeadConnector app. If you don't, update the app to the latest version, or use Ask AI on your computer at app.earnworthy.com.

What it costs

Ask AI is pay-per-use. You only pay for what you actually use, and your $20 monthly usage credit covers it first. So you get some Ask AI use every month before you pay anything more.

That's the same credit that covers your texting, calls, email sending, and Answer Agent conversations. If your total usage goes past it, the extra goes on the same card as a separate charge. See Billing, Payments, and Updating Your Card.

Ask AI usage depends on the work, not the number of messages. A quick "write me a caption" uses very little. A job with several steps, approvals, or images uses more.

Scheduled tasks count as usage every time they run.

Edits you make with Edit with Ask AI inside Social Planner don't use extra AI credits.

Want your credit to go further? Keep chats focused on one job, and only schedule the tasks you'll actually read. If you think Ask AI is eating into your credit, tell us and we'll look at what's using it.

What Ask AI can't do (yet)

Ask AI connects to a lot of Amplify, but not all of it. Right now it can't:

  • Edit your website. Your site is built in AI Studio, which is separate. See How to Edit Your Website (AI Studio).
  • Change your chat widget. Ask us.
  • Set up call routing or phone menus. Ask us.
  • Show the raw call or text log. It can only read the numbers on your dashboard.
  • Show why a specific automation ran or didn't. It can build workflows, but it can't open their run history. Ask us and we'll check.
  • Manage your directory listings.

The platform adds to this list often, so something that fails today may work next month.

Its memory

Ask AI remembers useful things you tell it, like your service area, your hours, or how you like your posts written. That way you don't have to repeat yourself every time.

It doesn't use everything it's ever saved. It uses your 20 most recent memories. So if something important changes, tell it again.

Memories are separate from your chat history. Deleting a memory doesn't delete a chat, and deleting a chat doesn't delete a memory.

See or delete what it remembers

Memory settings live in the mobile app. If Ask AI shows up in your LeadConnector app, here's where to look.

  1. Open the LeadConnector app and tap Ask AI.
  2. Open Chat History.
  3. Tap the memory icon in the header, just before New chat.
  4. Search or sort to find a memory.
  5. Tap the trash icon on a memory to delete it, or the trash icon in the header to clear them all.

You can also bring in what ChatGPT or Claude already knows about your business. Tap Import memories, copy the prompt it gives you, run it in the other assistant, then paste the answer back and tap Add to memory. It takes up to 100 memories at once.

Troubleshooting

I can't find Ask AI

Look for the Ask AI icon in the top bar, or Ask AI in the left menu.

Still not there? Log out and back in at app.earnworthy.com. If it's still missing, it just needs to be turned on for your account. Email support@earnworthy.com and we'll enable it for you.

The message box is grayed out

Look for a message in the chat. It usually says why Ask AI stopped. If it doesn't make sense, or it keeps happening, email us a screenshot.

It picked the wrong customer

Search by email or phone number instead of name. When it shows a list of matches, pick the right person before you click Submit.

It said it can't do something

Check the "can't do yet" list above. If it's not on the list, try asking a different way, with more detail. Still stuck? Email us what you asked and what it said.

The answer is wrong or out of date

Tell it what's wrong in the same chat. If it keeps repeating the same mistake, delete the bad memory (see above) and start a new chat. For anything about how your account is set up, ask us. Ask AI's how-to answers come from the platform's general help library, so it won't know the specific choices we made for your business.

My scheduled task didn't run

Open Scheduled Tasks and check the run history. A run can show Failed or Skipped. Skipped usually means the task was paused at that time. For a failed run, open it to see what happened, fix the prompt, and click Run now to test it.

My image disappeared

Images you don't save only live in that chat. Go back to the chat in your history and click Save to put it in your Media Library.
