What Ask AI Is and How to Open It

Ask AI is the assistant built into Amplify. Here's what it does, three ways to open it, and how it checks with you before it changes anything.

Ask AI is an assistant that lives inside Amplify. You type or say what you need in plain English, and it does the work right there in your account. It can write a Facebook post, pull up everything you know about a customer, or tell you how many open leads are sitting in your pipeline.

The big difference from ChatGPT is that Ask AI can see your account. It knows your contacts, your appointments, and your pipeline, so you don't have to copy and paste anything into it.

Every Amplify client has Ask AI. It's pay-per-use, and your $20 monthly usage credit covers it first, so you get some use every month before you pay anything more. Details are in Ask AI Usage, Cost, and Troubleshooting.

Ask AI vs. your Answer Agent

These are two different things, and it's easy to mix them up.

  • Answer Agent talks to your customers. It answers your webchat, texts, and phone when you can't. See How Your Voice AI Handles Calls.
  • Ask AI talks to you. Your customers never see it. It's there to help you and your team get work done inside Amplify.

What you can ask it to do

Here's the short version. Each one has its own article with example prompts.

  • Write things. Social posts, emails, blog drafts, and promo ideas. See Everyday Ask AI Prompts for Your Business.
  • Make images. Describe a picture for a post or email and it creates it. You can ask for changes until it looks right.
  • Look things up. "When is Mike Torres's next appointment?" or "Show me every lead in the Estimate Sent stage."
  • Take action. Add a contact, tag a list, create a task, or schedule a text. See Using Ask AI With Your Contacts, Inbox, Pipeline, and Reports.
  • Answer how-to questions. "How do I reschedule an appointment?" It searches the platform's help library and walks you through it.
  • Build a workflow. Describe the automation you want and it builds a draft you can test and publish. Check with us before anything complicated.
  • Run a prompt on a schedule. "Every weekday at 7 AM, give me a list of today's appointments."

Three ways to open it

First, log in at app.earnworthy.com.

Don't see Ask AI in your account? Email support@earnworthy.com and we'll turn it on for you.

From the top bar (quickest)

  1. Click the Ask AI icon in the top bar. It works from any page in your account.
  2. Type what you need, or click the microphone icon and say it.
  3. Press Enter. Ask AI answers in a panel on the side of your screen.

From the left menu (full screen)

  1. Click Ask AI in the left menu.
  2. Click New chat to start fresh.
  3. Use Search to find a chat you had before.

Use the full-screen version for bigger jobs, like writing a month of posts in one sitting.

  1. Search for something in the search bar at the top of your account.
  2. If nothing matches, pick the Ask AI option.
  3. Read the first answer right there in search.
  4. Click Continue in Ask AI to keep going. Your question carries over, so you don't have to type it again.

On your phone

You may also see Ask AI in the LeadConnector app. If it's there, open it from the floating button, the home screen, or the dashboard. If it isn't, use Ask AI on your computer at app.earnworthy.com.

It asks before it changes anything

Ask AI won't quietly edit your account. Before it adds, updates, or deletes anything, it shows you a confirmation screen and waits for your OK. For jobs that touch a lot of records at once, like tagging 200 contacts, it shows you the scope first.

Read that screen. If the contact name, the tag, or the number of people looks wrong, cancel and ask again with more detail.

Reading the answers

Answers can come back as plain text, numbered steps, tables, or charts. Longer jobs show a live checklist of what's done, what's in progress, and what's next. Some answers fold up into cards you can open when you need the details.

Your chats are saved. Open your chat history to go back to an old one, or start a new chat when you switch to a different job.

Get better answers

Be specific. Names, dates, tags, and pipeline stages all help. "Write a post" gets you something generic. "Write a Facebook post for our fall furnace tune-up, $20 off through November 15, friendly tone, under 80 words" gets you something you can actually use.

Ask AI also remembers things you tell it over time, like your service area or the tone you like. More on that in Ask AI Usage, Cost, and Troubleshooting.

FAQ

Is Ask AI the same as Answer Agent?

No. Answer Agent talks to your customers. Ask AI only talks to you and your team inside Amplify.

Can I talk to it instead of typing?

Yes. Click the microphone icon in the message box and speak.

Will it change things in my account without asking?

No. It shows a confirmation screen before it adds, changes, or deletes anything.

Does Ask AI cost extra?

It's pay-per-use, and your $20 monthly usage credit covers it first. You only pay more if your total usage goes past the credit. See Ask AI Usage, Cost, and Troubleshooting.
