Everyday Ask AI Prompts for Your Business

Copy-ready Ask AI prompts for social posts, emails, images, and blog drafts, written for plumbers, roofers, HVAC, and other local service pros.

The fastest way to get value out of Ask AI is to stop staring at a blank post. Give it the offer, the audience, and the tone, and you'll have a draft in seconds. You still read it before it goes anywhere. That part's on you.

Every prompt below is a starting point. Swap in your business, your town, and your real offer.

The formula for a good prompt

Tell it four things.

  1. What you want. A Facebook post, a promo email, five headline ideas.
  2. Who it's for. Homeowners in Port St. Lucie, past customers, new leads.
  3. The details. The offer, the deadline, the service, the price if you want one in there.
  4. How it should sound. Friendly, short, no hype, under 80 words.

If the first draft misses, don't start over. Reply with what to fix. "Shorter." "Less salesy." "Mention we're family-owned." It keeps the context and adjusts.

Set up your Brand Voice first

Ask AI writes in your voice when your account has a Brand Voice filled in. Without one, drafts come out more generic.

  1. Look under Marketing, then Branded Content, then Brand Voice.
  2. If it's there and empty, fill in how your business talks and what it offers, then save it.
  3. Add "use my brand voice" to your prompts.

Social posts

Try prompts like these.

  • "Write a Facebook post using my brand voice. We're running a $79 AC tune-up special through October 31. Friendly tone, under 80 words, end with a call to book online."
  • "Give me five Instagram captions for photos of a finished kitchen remodel. Keep them short and skip the hashtags."
  • "Write a post thanking our customers for 100 Google reviews. Warm, not braggy."
  • "Turn this customer review into a short Facebook post: [paste the review]."

Ask AI can also schedule and publish social posts. Before anything goes live, read the confirmation screen and check the post itself.

Your accounts need to be connected first. See Connecting Facebook and Instagram.

Fixing a post already in Social Planner

If you've already got a draft in Social Planner, you can fix it without leaving the editor.

  1. Go to Marketing, then Social Planner.
  2. Open a post, or click + New Post and write a rough draft.
  3. Click the purple AI button next to the formatting tools.
  4. Pick Edit with Ask AI.
  5. Tell it what to change, like "Make this more casual" or "Add one line about free estimates."
  6. Look at the new version. Keep asking until it's right.
  7. Click Replace to swap it into your post, or Copy to keep both versions.
  8. Check the preview, then save, schedule, or publish.

Edits made this way don't use extra AI credits.

Emails

Ask AI can build a full email template, layout and all, not just the words.

  • "Make an email template announcing our spring gutter cleaning. Use our brand colors, add a Book Now button, keep it short."
  • "Draft a reminder email for customers who haven't had their septic pumped in three years."
  • "Write a thank-you email for customers after a job. Ask them to refer a neighbor."

Here's how it works.

  1. Ask for the email in Ask AI.
  2. It may stop and ask you a question, like whether to use your saved brand board or add a countdown timer. Pick an option or skip it.
  3. Look at the preview in the panel.
  4. Ask for changes until you like it.
  5. Click Open in Email Builder to fine-tune it by hand.

This makes a template. It doesn't send anything. To send it to your list, see How to Send a One-Off Email to a List. On Amplify Growth, we send your monthly email for you, so you don't need to build that one.

Images

Describe the picture and Ask AI makes it.

  • "Make a square image of a clean, modern bathroom with a walk-in shower, bright natural light."
  • "Make an Instagram Story image promoting our holiday light installation. Dark blue background, warm lights."
  • "Make a 16:9 banner of a lawn with fresh stripes for the top of an email."

Then edit it with plain instructions, like "Make the sky darker" or "Remove the car in the driveway."

  1. Type your image request and press Enter.
  2. Wait a few seconds for the image.
  3. Type your change in the box under the image.
  4. When it's right, click the Save icon to put it in your Media Library, or Copy to paste it somewhere else.

If you don't save it, the image only lives in that chat.

You can ask for a shape by name or ratio. Square (1:1) works for most posts, 4:5 for Instagram feed, 9:16 for Stories and Reels, and 16:9 for banners and YouTube thumbnails. Don't know which? Just say where it's going, like "for an Instagram Story," and it picks.

One rule from us: don't use AI images to pass off work you didn't do. Use your real job photos for before-and-afters. Save AI images for promos, seasonal posts, and backgrounds.

Blog drafts

If your website has a blog, Ask AI can write a full draft with a title, headings, and body.

  • "Write a 700-word blog post for homeowners in Stuart, FL on how to tell if your roof needs repair after a storm. Friendly, plain English, end with a call to book an inspection."
  • "Give me 10 blog topic ideas for a pest control company in South Florida."

You can paste a link to your own service page and say "use this page as background" so the draft matches what you actually offer. It won't put the link in the post unless you do.

The draft stays in the chat. It doesn't post to your site. Check every fact, price, and claim before anything gets published. AI gets things wrong, and it's your name on it.

Quick ideas and planning

Ask AI is good for the stuff you'd normally brainstorm in the truck.

  • "Give me 12 slow-season promo ideas for a landscaping company."
  • "Write three short text replies for when a customer asks 'how much for a quote?'"
  • "Make a 4-week social posting plan for a new pressure washing business. One post a week."

FAQ

Do I have to use my brand voice?

No, but your drafts will sound more like you if you do. Fill it in once and add "use my brand voice" to your prompts.

Will Ask AI post or send anything on its own?

Not without asking. It shows a confirmation screen before it publishes, sends, or changes anything. Read it before you approve.

Can I use the images anywhere?

Save the ones you like to your Media Library, and you can use them in posts, emails, and your site.

It wrote something wrong about my business. What now?

Tell it in the chat, like "We don't offer financing." Then check the next draft. If it keeps getting the same thing wrong, see Ask AI Usage, Cost, and Troubleshooting.
