What Happens When You Miss a Call

Missed a call while you were on a job? Here's how Amplify follows up so the lead doesn't call your competitor next.

You can't answer every call. You're on a roof, under a sink, or with a customer. The problem is that most people who hit voicemail just call the next business on the list. Amplify is set up so a missed call doesn't turn into a lost job.

The missed-call text

When you miss a call on your business number, Rapid Responder can send the caller a text within about 30 seconds. Something like: "Sorry we missed you. How can we help?" Most people would rather text back than leave a voicemail, and now the conversation is in your inbox.

Missed-call text-back is available on every plan, and it's your choice whether your number uses it. Want it on, or off? Email support@earnworthy.com and we'll switch it.

It needs texting approval

The missed-call text is a text, so it only goes out once your texting registration is approved. See Getting Texting Approved.

Voice AI can answer instead

If you have Voice AI, it can pick up and answer questions or book the appointment instead of letting the call ring out. What's possible depends on how your phone is set up. See How Your Voice AI Handles Calls.

Your part

  1. Check your inbox when you're free. Missed-call conversations show up there. See How to Reply to Texts and Emails From Your Inbox.
  2. Call or text back anyone who's waiting.
  3. Keep app notifications on so you see replies fast. See the Mobile App Quick-Start.

FAQ

Can I change what the text says?

Yes. Email support@earnworthy.com with the wording you want.

Will it text spam callers too?
